Get Set!

A concreter pours, spreads, smooths and finishes concrete for structures such as floors, stairs, ramps, footpaths and bridges and other kinds of structures that need to be robust and durable.

What will I be doing?

  • Smooth surfaces with abrasive materials or tools
  • Position construction forms or moulds
  • Spread concrete or other aggregate
  • Mix substances or compounds needed for work activities
  • Apply sealants or other protective coatings
  • Pour materials into, or on, designated areas
  • Operate leveling equipment
  • Compact or smooth materials to create level bases
  • Cut metal components
  • Apply material to fill gaps in surfaces
  • Prepare surfaces for finishing
  • Build construction forms or moulds
  • Install roofing materials
  • Install building fixtures
  • Install metal structural components
  • Break up rock, asphalt, or concrete
  • Position structural components
