High-Vis Army Traffic Management Program

The Traffic Management Program is designed for individuals looking to enter the traffic management industry and gain the skills required to control traffic and implement traffic management plans on Category 1 roads, including urban streets and low-volume rural roads.

Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) Tasmania, together with the Tasmanian Government and Link Resources are running this Traffic Management program to up skill people to join the civil construction industry.

The program is full time, over 3 consecutive days:

• Face-to-face theory delivery
• Practical simulations
• Knowledge assessments

Course Overview

This training combines two nationally recognised skill sets:

Traffic Controller Category 1 (TC1)

RIISS00058 – Traffic Controller Skill Set for Category 1 Roads

Traffic Management Implementer Category 1 (TMI1)

RIISS00060 – Traffic Management Implementer Skill Set for Category 1 Roads

Following the initial training, participants are required to complete 20 hours of practical workplace experience and a final practical assessment before competency can be achieved and Statements of Attainment issued.

Participants must hold a current drivers licence and be physically fit and able to pass a drug and alcohol screen.

The program is fully funded for eligible participants.
