CCF Tasmania has joined a network of many organisations working together to make it easier for more Tasmanians to get the skills they need for work and life.Literacy, numeracy and digital literacy have been identified as an issue in our industry. As our work practices become more digitally focused its important to provide help for members and their employees to access support to develop the skills they need in the workplace, and in life. Through our commitment to adult literacy and numeracy we will be hosting free literacy awareness workshops in 2024. We will also be displaying the 26TEN logo on our cars and at events, raising awareness and reducing stigma associated with this issue. Some of the other things CCFTas members can access from 26TEN for their workplaces include:
- access to support and advice including literacy awareness raising workshops, and plain English workshops
- access to tools and resources to improve communication in your organisation, which may result in increased productivity and compliance, reduce safety incidents and help your people adapt to change.
- access to local contacts in the business, community and government sectors who are 26TEN Members.
- access to free 26TEN merchandising, which will help you to raise awareness of literacy and numeracy in your workplace.
Take a look at the 26TEN website to find out more about what they can do for your workplace.
